ABOUT

ABOUT ME

Hope was born and raised in Wilson, North Carolina. Hope earned her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and her Master of Social Work (MSW) at East Carolina University.  She seeks to meet people where they are, without judgment, and creates an atmosphere where patients feel comfortable. Family means everything to Hope and she believes in treating others how she would want her family to be treated, and helping them find hope. Hope has a passion for supporting individuals facing grief, special needs, depression, anxiety, and helping professionals/first responders (EMS, Fire, Police, Nursing,) to name a few.

Hope believes in a holistic approach to include mind, body and spirit. It is all connected and should be treated that way. Hope uses an eclectic style which includes but is not limited to Cognitive Behavioral, Solution focused, and strength based. She doesn’t sugar coat and is straightforward. She wants to empower you and help you learn to understand and love yourself more. Hope wants to help you regain your voice and help you to feel seen, heard and respected.

Hope wants to help you understand how your thoughts and feelings influence your behavior. During the course of treatment, people learn to identify and change destructive thought patterns that have a negative influence on their behaviors and emotions. Hope has experience working with all manner of mental health diagnosis. She has worked in a psychiatric hospital, in the community, medical clinics, and private practice.

We are honored you chose Finding Hope Family Therapy to help you with your personal concerns. We know that reaching out to a therapist for help is sometimes scary and intimidating. We applaud you for taking the step to become a better version of yourself. We want you to know that God has brought you to this place for a reason and your therapist feels it is their mission to help you find hope, find healing and learn to live your life to the fullest and thrive not just survive.
